Elizabeth Sellman, M.S., MHC., Registered Intern, earned her Bachelor’s degree in Philosophy from Loyola University in Baltimore, Maryland and went on to complete my Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton, Florida. She began my career at the Nancy J. Cotterman Center (formerly the Sexual Assault Treatment Center) providing therapy to men, women and children who were victims of sex crimes. Trauma work was immensely rewarding and led to Elizabeth writing and publishing of a workbook which helps individuals struggling with sexual abuse to get in touch with their emotions and move beyond the trauma to lead healthy more satisfying lives.
Elizabeth’s experience in counseling includes working with individuals struggling with issues related to PTSD, depression, anxiety, trauma, life skills, self-esteem, relationship, and family dynamics. She practices person centered counseling based on the individual needs and desires of each client. Elizabeth enjoys working with clients of all ages. She strives to meet individuals where they are emotionally, and to support all clients achieve their treatment goals.
